The problem it solves
Injuries, stress, and years of guarding leave muscles shortened and imbalanced. Shortened muscles pull on bones, compress joints, and irritate nerves — a mechanical problem that medication can't touch. Manual therapy addresses it, but even the best therapist's hands fatigue, and some muscles need longer, steadier pressure than hands can sustain.
What the robot does differently
RPT uses a computer-guided arm to apply gentle, static pressure to precisely mapped points on a muscle — the same principle as expert manual therapy, but with perfect consistency, exact force control, and infinite patience. The sustained intervals of pressure encourage contracted muscle fibers to release and lengthen, taking tension off the joints and nerves they've been loading.
What a session feels like
You lie on a treatment table, fully clothed, while we take measurements of how your muscles and joints move and test which specific muscles are driving your problem. The robot is then programmed to your findings. The pressure feels firm but comfortable — most patients describe it as a very steady, very precise massage. Sessions are quick, and there's no soreness-day-after like aggressive deep tissue work can cause.
Who benefits most
RPT shines for people with long-standing muscle tightness and pain that hasn't fully responded to other care — chronic neck and back pain, frozen shoulder in its stiffness phase, arthritic guarding, and mobility restrictions after old injuries.
